Chandeliers

I've always liked chandeliers, especially since I made that the backdrop for Under Her Charm. Here is my latest pmc piece.

Pretty cool!

Mardi Gras in May

Everyone was glad Edwin came back from his conference in New Orleans Wednesday, especially since he brought super cool gifts!

Even me - I got New Orleans pralines. Mmmm. . .

Castles and crests

Last week on the way to Tahoe, we stopped at the Castello di Amorosa in Calistoga (I know, not really on the way to Tahoe). You can guess which little knight enjoyed the castle (that's Master Ben). . . and which Mommy enjoyed the wine tasting.

So that finally gave me the inspiration to try making a crest out of pmc.

But even better is this sterling one I got my hands on!

If I can acquire some more blank sterling crests, I will definitely list them on Etsy so you can make your own family crest! Stay tuned. . .

Customer photo

Look at these great photos that a customer sent of the necklace she ordered from Under Her Charm.

I need to hire her to take all of my photos! Thanks so much for sending!

Alpines

Last weekend we took a little drive to Lake Tahoe. Luckily for our Texan blood, most of the snow was gone.

But the water was still pretty chilly! Grandpa Terry and Ben were brave enough to get their toes wet.

For the birds

Happy Mother's Day everyone! Here are a couple new pieces for all of those mama birds out there.

And for Mother's Day, I got. . . CHICKEN POX! How is this possible? I got them when I was 5, but now it seems I got them from Ben (who was vaccinated), and I have 100's of little itchy spots to prove it (I'll spare everyone the picture).

Sunday highlights

This past week I was at the annual ARVO conference in Fort Lauderdale. How exciting that the necklace I donated to the WEAVR auction (women in eye and vision research) was featured in the email of Sunday highlights to all the members (that's thousands of people!!).

And the necklace sold for $130. As exciting as that is, next year, I want to be featured for my science, not jewelry, so I've got a lot of work to do in the next few months!
