Ice Cream

Nothing like a trip to the Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory!

At the end of the tour - free ice cream! Ronnie and Ben got chocolate chip cookie dough. Lila got mint chocolate chip, and I got pistachio almond.

Mmmmm.

Projects

If there is anything my children like, it's projects. Whether it's art, legos, crocheting, we stock up for vacation time. Here is a crystal garden they grew yesterday.

Granny bought this supercool robot building project for Ben (and Edwin).

I wonder what projects will be in store tomorrow!

Birds

Over 2 weeks later, all I've got to say is, "birds."

They are Texas birds.

Happy Hanukah to me!

For YEARS, like, since 6th grade, I've always wanted a dress form. I used to sew my clothes, so thought it would be helpful. Then I just thought they were cool. I tried to register for one when we got married, and Edwin said no way, so I had to settle for a collection of mini mannequins, dress forms, and jewelry holders.

FINALLY, Edwin succumbed, and got me this AWESOME vintage style dress form for Hanukah.
(it didn't hurt that I sent him the link)

I'm going to have fun with this!

The Universal Language

I love you! In sign language - even the kids knew this one. Well, they knew it was either, "I love you," or "Hook 'em horns!"

What a great time of year to remind your friends and family how much you love them. Find it in my etsy shop.

Hanukah Harry Has Hit

Every year about 1 day before Hanukah, I remember I am supposed to purchase and wrap about 30 presents. That's a job - 3 kids and eight nights, and I guess a couple for Edwin. . . and especially since these children seriously don't need any more junk. Anyway, here is what I came up with so far.

I don't quite have it done. The count from today's expo was just 3 little things for Edwin, and about 5 for each kid. Don't mind the boxes of exploding gun powder - I had to let Edwin pick something out for them.

Now, how in the WORLD does one wrap a beanbag??

A special rock

Ronnie's thoughtfulness never ceases to impress me! Yesterday I was trying to photograph this new bracelet, and Ronnie ran to her backpack. She came back with this great rock she found. She said she knew it would be perfect for taking pictures of my jewelry, and she was right! How sweet is that.

Find the bracelet in my etsy shop.

Boo!

The boys on Halloween

The prettiest Purple Flower Fairy

Ronnie was too busy trick-or-treating with friends to be in pictures, but look at her booty!

You can guess which mom took that Ghiradelli off her hands (and the heath bar and peanut m&ms).

Fairytale Letters

More playing with pmc. A little irregular, rough around the edges, chipped right off of a rococo museum wall.

Scenes from Treasure Island

Yesterday we went to the Treasure Island Music Festival (sans children). My favorites were She & Him, Broken Social Scene, The National and Belle and Sebastian. Here are some pictures in hipstamatic.

Fairyland

We love Fairyland in Oakland, and today we got to go with Granny and Grandpa Arnie. While the kids were busy exploring, using magic keys, and watching puppet shows, I was playing with my iPhone Hipstamatic app.

Yes, the Alice in Wonderland exhibit is my favorite!
